Product Description

Milk kefir is usually made from live starter Milk Kefir Grains. This contains a complex combination of special bacteria and yeast together with polysaccharides.

Added to milk which feeds these cultures, kefir grains start growing and producing very beneficial and unique components. The unique properties of these components have a very beneficial effect on the functioning of the entire human body.

How to make milk kefir at home?

General Directions:

  1. Before preparing milk kefir, make sure you know some basic principles of handling it.
  2. For better taste use high-quality fat milk (cow, goat, coconut);
  3. Use jars made of glass, spoons and a sieve made of plastic or wood, wash them without detergent;
  4. Do not use any metal when preparing kefir, it can kill the bacteria and yeast;
  5. Do not cover the kefir container with a lid – bacteria must breathe;
  6. Do not put the jar in the fridge or in the sun.

What we need?

  1. A clean glass jar: to begin with it is better to take 1 litre jar.
  2. Kefir grains: a tablespoon of grains
  3. Milk: 1 cup (250 ml)
  4. Wooden or Plastic Spoon
  5. Plastic Strainer ( Preferably Double Layered)

Preparing kefir from the culture is a simple process which becomes rather habitual if we do it regularly:

Instructions

  1. Take 1 spoon of kefir grain.
  2. Put it in a glass jar.
  3. Pour a cup of milk into the jar.
  4. Cover the jar with a cloth and a rubber band.
  5. Leave it for a minimum of 24 hours (Ideal Taste) at room temperature. The longer you ferment kefir, the sourer it gets.
  6. After the chosen time limit when a thick layer forms on the surface, it is fermented and its time separate the grains and the kefir drink.
  7. Pour the liquid into the plastic strainer and stir gently with the spoon. Add some water while stirring if the liquid is very thick.
  8. Use the filtered grains to make the new portion of kefir drink.
  9. Excess Kefir drink can be stored in the refrigerator for further use.

How to Store?

  1. The ready drink can be stored in the fridge for up to 6 days;
  2. If you do not want to use kefir grains within 2-3 days, put them into a jar, pour some milk and keep the jar in the fridge.
  3. You can store it for a longer time in the fridge in a jar by periodically changing the milk. Just like regular kefir making process filter the grains and put it in a jar with the new milk.

I bought kefir grains from Nature’s Kefir and started consuming kefir daily some months ago. The grains were just the right amount for half-litre milk culture over 24 hours and have given me a steady output of kefir since then. In fact, the grains double up in quantity every few weeks or so. Drinking kefir has been a game-changer for me. My digestion improved, naturally. Everyone expects it to. But most importantly, my moods have evened out and thus my will-power increased! I think it’s because I no longer feel blue most of the time, I have more energy to do the things I plan. The importance of gut bacteria is established by gut-brain axis. It worked on me. I took a chance and am very happy with the results!

I was not aware of probiotics until my son had food intolerance. Kefir is one of the great probiotics which will heal the gut and replenish good bacteria. I ordered grains twice from Nature’s Kefir which are ofcourse of good quality. Since I’m new to kefir, they patiently answered all my queries whenever I called them. Thanks and Kudos to their dedication👌🏻

“Nature’s Kefir has the best quality water kefir grains I have come across online. I’ve previously purchased grains from another website, which did not work and grow and they never bothered to reply to messages or emails. Nature’s Kefir is genuine and they send you grains in enough quantity to get started with brewing. The live grains I purchased from Nature’s Kefir make for a delicious fizzy brew. Vignesh is very responsive to messages and prompt in shipping orders. Definitely recommend buying from a genuine seller like them. Please do give them a try.”

The first few batches of Water Kefir grains were excellent.

The most recent batch is a problem. It’s doesn’t seem to ferment the sugar water as it did with previous samples.

I’m fully satisfied with the service from Vighnesh.

Also, I am very happy with the orders placed before this.

Best,

Dr Pinto

I was worried about the culturing how to know fermentation is done or not, there is no sign for complete fermentation. I had gone through the instructions but I wasn’t satisfied. I did everything as manual said but I couldn’t get good results And called the customer support after the conversation I have found the problem, I have kept the jar closed cupboard there was no air circulation so my grains were not grown.

Now I am making very good and making way is very simple and easy, me and our family enjoying water kefir with fruit flavours…

I bought milk kefir grains 6 months before, initially I couldn’t find the grains I thought I was cheated and I called to customer support, i have explained what I had experience. He said we are getting lot of complaints from the customers as you said.

He asked few questions about the making.

I did everything right and finally what I did was I have left only 15 hours fermentation so my fermentation is not completed in 15 hours, we need to leave it minimum 24 hours fermentation, now I am making kefir well…
